Halloween is a Saturday this year, and some towns moved trick-or-treat to Thursday, October 29. Check yours.

Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, this year, and many towns have set official trick-or-treat hours. Most picked the evening of Halloween itself, but some moved it. Columbus, Ohio, and many of its suburbs are trick-or-treating on Thursday, October 29, along with several towns in central Pennsylvania. All times below are p.m. They come from city announcements and from lists published by local TV stations and newspapers, so confirm with your town if you're unsure.

Plenty of big cities don't set hours at all. Chicago doesn't have designated trick-or-treat times, NBC Chicago reported, and Louisville's Jefferson County traditionally hasn't set specific hours either.
